Mumbai, 18 February 2019: Reliance Communications Limited (RCOM) and Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) won the ‘Most Effective Recruitment Campaign’ award at the ‘ET Now HR Talent Management Leadership Awards 2019’, organized by the World HRD Congress. The awards were presented at a special ceremony held in Mumbai’s Hotel Taj Lands End on 16 February 2019, attended by representatives from leading corporations, celebrating the achievements of all the winners.
The ET Now HR Talent Management Leadership Awards 2019, now in its 8th year, have become a defining accolade for organizations, providing recognition to path-breaking efforts made in various categories. Award winners were chosen by an independent expert panel of judges from across industry sectors, with the underlying objective of recognizing and celebrating HR excellence.
“It is an honor to be recognized for the second year in a row for our continuous efforts towards creating industry-best HR practices and recruitment initiatives. At GCX and RCOM, we are passionate about our work and believe that success is delivered as a team. Our employees are the company’s most valuable assets. Our sincere gratitude to ET Now and the World HRD Congress for this prestigious award,” said Bill Barney, CEO, RCOM and CEO & Chairman, GCX.
“It is a proud moment for all of us at GCX and RCOM to see our contributions to the industry being recognized,” said Gina Haspilaire, Chief Human Resources Officer, RCOM and GCX. “With growing operations across the world and RCOM becoming a pure-play B2B operator, we envisaged a future with us at the forefront of the forthcoming multipronged technology revolution, led by talent best positioned to become its enablers. We wanted to nurture a pool of future leaders with a strong understanding of the industry landscape along with in-depth functional skills. That’s how the idea of Program-Based Hiring (PBH) was born.”
RCOM & GCX’s PBH is aimed at recruiting and grooming new talent into valuable telecom professionals with specialized functional skills. The focus of the program is to provide recent college graduates an intensive accelerated training and real-work experiences in order to build in-depth skills needed to secure solid footing in a chosen career path. This is achieved through an exhaustive set of learning interventions, rotational job assignments and completing departmental projects over an 18-month period. PBH continues to support multiple functions of RCOM/GCX so that the company can always be “talent-ready” as its business evolves into a new generation in building the future of technology infrastructure.
